Will Sleep Training Ruin My Breastfeeding Relationship?

Breastfeeding and Sleep Training, can they coexist?

They can! You will have a breastfeeding relationship established with your little one and your supply set long before you are able to sleep train your little one. Sleep training your infant can help your breastfeeding relationship by allowing you the rest that you need to continue breastfeeding during the day! Imagine that! We cannot underestimate exhaustion and what it does to us as moms. With our sleep training program you may keep one dream feed at night, but many of our families choose to eliminate that and opt for a full, uninterrupted sleep.

What if my baby needs to feed in the night?

When you and your baby are ready for sleep coaching, your baby is old enough to sleep through the night without needing a feeding in the middle. Some families opt to continue with one dream feed in the middle of the night and some just focus on getting sleep because their baby is old enough to not need a feed mid night. When you work with us, you get to decide what will work best for your family and that is what we implement.

Daytime feeding becomes easier!

When you decide that it is time to sleep train your baby, because yes, you get to decide that, you will be refreshed when you wake up in the morning and so will your baby! Your baby will still want to breastfeed and your relationship will be better, because you will both be refreshed. More sleep takes away the exhaustion you have and enables you to have a productive day. More sleep allows you both to be ready to see each other and continue your day together. You love your baby, but let's be honest, a break is wonderful and helpful for any relationship, breastfeeding included.

You can have sleep AND a thriving breastfeeding relationship with your little one.
